Headline: The title given to a story
Cut: A photo or illustration
Nameplate or Masthead: A newspaper's name printed in special type on the front page

By-Line: Name of the writer appearing above the article

Graphic: A combination of artowrk and words which helps to visually explain a story
Jump line: Line telling a reader where the story is continued
Lead: The first sentence of a news story informing the reader of WHO, WHERE, WHAT, WHEN and somtimes HOW and WHY

2. In your own opinion, why are there 2 kinds of newspaper?
- In my opinion.. they have 2 different audiences. Let's say that Tabloids are mostly targeted for men while Broadsheets are for anyone, not just men. Other than that, tabloids are cheaper and anyone can buy it more than buy broadsheets. Broadsheets has more to offer than Tabloids that's why it's more expensive. Tabloids cater more of the mass than the Broadsheets cater it.

3. Why do you think that newspaper industry is dying? If you were a newspaper journalist, what would be the best solution to keep this industry up and running?
-  As we have discussed and noticed.. The newspaper industry is dying because of the rising of internet media. In this time, magazines and other print media disadvantages newspapers. Other than that, it's because social media is more in and easily used by the mass than newspaper. It's like thinking why would they buy newspapers when they can just look it up at the internet or etc. If I will be a journalist and is facing this kind of issue about the newspaper industry dying, I would still continue what I am used to do. I would still write articles on paper and spread it to the country like what I am used to do because there are still people who reads newspapers. What I would do is that i'll just upgrade what in the newspaper, make it more interesting to read, make it more catchy because that's one way I would catch their attentions. It should be as appealing as before like their first time reading the newspaper.
